Layla Motorized Bed

We really wanted to focus on the things that mattered in a rental - a comfortable bed was paramount. Not just a comfortable one - but one that went with our theme: “High End - High Tech” so after some research we decided on a Layla Sleep split King, modular and electronic frame. Combined with their dual softness flippable mattress(s).
One conundrum we had was to go with a King size mattress that would make the bed raise and lower at the same time or two twin mattresses that let you control each side independently. We decided since it was for a rental that our clients would appreciate being able to control each side indepently. How do the mattresses stay together? Would you sink in the middle?
They said it wouldn’t be a problem - but it was. The solution? A strap that holds them together in the middle - but still allows for independent control of each side. That worked like a champ and I would end up using the massage/ vibrate feature almost every night to help fall asleep.
We also got two different types of toppers for the mattresses because even the soft side of the mattress wasn’t quite soft enough (for me at least) but that’s the beauty of the system. You can choose from two softness levels by flipping the mattress over, and then after getting two different types of toppers - our renters would have 4 different levels of softness/ hardness to choose from. It really is a great bed and it fit in really well with our futuristic theme. They are even voice controlled!
