Backyard
When we first bought 451 the backyard only had a chain link dog cage being held together with an ethernet cable. It was a missed opportunity because being outside is one of the highlights of being in Big Bear. It didn’t happen all at once but we slowly (and sometimes quickly) upgraded the backyard, not just aesthetically but functionally.
We moved the Jacuzzi from under the front deck (What a difference!)
We added a gate to be able to gain access to the newly added HUGE side yard and a path to the observatory.
Added white rocks and artifical grass.
Added a gas BBQ
Added two hanging chairs, a moon chair, and a hammock.
Solar Lights
Steps leading up to the top level.
A bridge to be able to walk more easily to the new areas.
Designed the hill to feel more visually pleasing.
A canopy over the Jacuzzi (this is a requirement from the city for jacuzzi’s, it’s functional but I would replace it with an new awning that covers the entire area.
The backyard is now much more than a mound of dirt and lives up to the Alcove name!
